The perfect outdoor adventure means different things to different people. For me, it’s a chance to reconnect. To do this I often look at travelling somewhere near or far with as little as possible. To be self reliant with as little as possible is a quest I’m continually on. I’m a firm believer in less is more and without our daily distractions, you have more time for thinking, writing and reconnecting.
This image sums this up perfectly.
Here, Sabrina cruises the shallow of a largely unexplored bay on Zakinthos Island, Greece. We were totally self sufficient on this trip, we built our own raft to carry our gear, we got around the island by swimming and we ate the fish we caught.
In all of this, I find that the imagery I shoot on these trips feels more authentic and filled with so much more substance.
So why not try get away from the hustle and bustle for a while and get back to the basics of capturing and creating the raw beauty we often miss out on.
